Public Health
The Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Health and Human Services (THHS) has reorganized its Public Health Programs to improve service integration, access, and coordination. This includes the Community Health Representatives (CHR), Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI), and Health Education. CHR provides transportation, health education, case management, and traditional wellness support. The Diabetes Program focuses on prevention and management through education, screenings, and clinical care. Health Education offers classes on nutrition, tobacco cessation, CPR, fitness, and disease prevention, while collaborating with schools and tribal programs to lead community outreach and health campaigns.
